1760 yard shoot, its a go. 25 shooters signed up.

Just for giggles

These are the only 2 targets that I will replace. I am surprised how well they all stood up to the impacts. There was one more from 300, but it is already welded up and at someone elses place. These were the 100 and 200 yard targets. More will be made out of this tough material for next year.

Frosty mornings mean no worky on roofy. Build next years targets.

This shoot looked like a lot of fun and I'm glad that more and more gun people have the hunger to learn to shoot the longer distances. It's a great discipline to practice at.

Did anyone bring 50cal rifles out to the shoot? What were some of the biggest and smallest calibers that made the voyage across the distance?

I think the smallest was a 25-250 wildcat at the shoot in Viking. I'm not sure, but I think the 338LM - 300 grainer is the largest to hit the mile. I was so busy shooting/spotting that I didn't even go around and see what cal the guns were.

I had brought out a 22/250AI pushing 90g Bergers, got to 1600y and ran out of elevation. 308 Coyote pushing 155 scenars got to 1400y. 7MM STW pushing 190 Matrix ran all the way to the mile and 338 T wolf went the mile no issues.

Was allot of fun and cant wait for nesy year. Next year I will bring the LRT-3 prity sure will have no issues with that running the mile.

im hopin to have a 30-338 lm finished for next years shoot and see if that will make it.
the one thing i know for sure i`ll bring is twice as much ammo lol.

THe first bad building day I am going to grab my wifes 308 and put a target at 1500 yards and send some ammo at it. Or maybe let her be the first 308 shooter to reach 1500 yards(of the group at my shoots). Don't know exactly when this will happen, but its -12 here right now and falling. 155gr lapua scenars and 155gr Nosler Custom Competitions standing by loaded and ready.
Tins here, windows coming and 1 1/2" of snow on the ground. (You want to do what!!) **Go shooting** excuse air tool freeze up. LIG
