Hi, Im wondering which scope you guys/gals reccomend for a 17 hmr rifle? I am having problems right now with the crosshairs on my scope being too thick, and getting in the way of my smaller targets at long distances. ( I hope that made sense... ) Price is an issue, and I would hope to be spending no more than $350-$375
Thanks for your help

When it comes to gophers and the hmr I found 4-12 a minimum I currently have a 6-18 and at one point I had a 6-24. It's a rimfire I see no need to use much more than a bushnel banner line.

Might not interest you but, BSA makes a scope thats supposed to have some ranging reticle thats geared for the 17 hummer.....don't know how well it would work tho.....but its probly cheap.

I've got a 6-24X50 AO tasco on mine and like it but I would also like to see how the bsa 17hmr scope works

Any higher power (4-12 or greater) with parallax adjustment will do fine. Several choices in Bushnell Elite, Nikon, Leupold in the price range you state. Phil.

I personally don't trust BSA or any other cheap dial to adjust (BDC) scope. They will not be repeatable for long. Burris makes a good ballistic plex scope or learn to use a mildot. my $0.02

I have a Tasco 6-24x40 Varmint on mine, $120 if I recall. Works great and not a problem with the crosshairs being too thick. It is the cheapest scope I own by far but it surprised me and my hunting friends.
