Hi there,

For those who have loaded the barnes TTSX 180g in their .300 WSMs, I have 2 questions:

(1) what was your most accurate load?
(2) Almost as important, what powders did you test?
(3) If you tested H4350, how high did you load (I stopped at the max for the old Barnes X bullet (manual #3), manual #4 does not include this powder)

I have tried Viht550, RL15, RL19, H4350, and I will be testing IMR4350 this weekend. By far, the best groups were with H4350 (average group size was 1.38" for five, 3-shot groups; smallest 1.05", largets 1.57"). However, most groups in the 1.5"-2.5" range - very discouraging (and expensive).

Thanks

Stick with H4350 and that accurate load. You should max out in the 65gr range.
Play with your seating depth, and you will likely shrink things up a bit.
H4350 is a great WSM powder.
And the most accurate load I have had was 71gr of H4831sc with a Fed215 about 0.03" off the lands. It chronied 2960fps with a 180gr TSX.
