After noon ladies and gents,

I have been reading a bit on the Flatline 180gr bullet in 30 cal.

I don't feel i am financially ready to make the jump and switch all my reloading set up and rifle for an other caliber. The Flatline seems to bring back the .308 on a competitive level.

Anybody know if they are available at a dealer or if somebody know how getting them across the border ?

The Flatlines seem like a great bullet albeit super costly. Depending on what kind of shooting you're planning on doing at 1400m you could just shoot regular .30 cal bullets. I used my .308 for a PRS elr match recently and made hits out to 1500 yards running 175gr RDFs (tac division is limited to 175-178). The wind was switchy which made it super challenging as a 1mph shift in the wind would throw you off target. Super fun nonetheless. You'd get even better results with some 185 Juggernauts or 208s, I would imagine.

Plenty of quality match bullets that can reach out that far. Took my FTR rig to 1435yds using my match ammo. No problem at all.

If willing to throat your chamber long, there are plenty of great bullets from 185 to 230gr.

Big question is what twist do you have... if you want to go with these flatline, be prepared for a super fast twist.

Jerry
