Well happy day for me, I have just become the proud owner of a 1876 produced 1871 mauser carbine. Handiest best balanced rifle ever and stunning quality
(thanks Tikka)
My question is did the 1871 mdl have an Ejector like the latter mag fed rifles or did it only have the Extractor?? I have a chance to buy a spare extractor cheap and an ejector as well but I am not sure if the rifle is suppose to have one
Any insight would be appreciated.
This rifle is gonna see some miles in the bush as it a dream to hold, have'nt weighed her yet but I am glad it moves bullets at modest velocities cause it sure is a feather wieght
I can see a long term relationship with 43 mausers developing.
