I posted a while back about buying both the gun, 1873 Remington Rolling Block (Navy Arms Pedersoli repro) and period correct 18" 3x Brass Scope (Tasco repro), finally got these (2) married up and hoping they shoot as pretty as they look. Had the gunsmith make up (2) custom mounting blocks out of brass and installed a new firing pin and extractor at the same time.

I owned the exact same configuration until someone else thought they deserved it more than me. I was re-building my house so guns were stored in an out-building, some worker from a 24 hr drilling site across the field paid a visit one night and haven't seen it since.

I killed a large Mule buck with it at 245 yards. BP cast ammo lined up at 100 yds. and with the same Tasco scope. I held over so I could just see backbone in the bottom of the scope. He made 3 or 4 jumps and piled up, never recovered the slug, it was thru & thru.

I now have an original RB with new barrel and a 32" brass scope now that I put together myself...you are going to enjoy that rifle.
