Was watching a Pawn Stars show the other day and seen this 1881 Marlin 45-70 come up and it had double triggers .. It was suppose too be a target rifle off some sort // anyway it sold for 2600 U.S .. I had never seen such a gun in my time .. A lever gun with set triggers .. I always thought only bolt guns had the double triggers

Winchester offered their lever guns with set triggers as an option back in the day. Their list of optional features was truly mind boggling and prices were relatively low. However skilled hands were available for low wages in those days.

A set trigger on a lever gun is new to me too. Kinda makes sense given the era though.

I've seen them on nearly every other action other than semiautomatic (and that probably exists too) so not surprised.

I actually have a winchester 1894 with the Close Coupled dual set triggers. 1910 mfg in 30wcf.

Several years ago a Marlin collector here in BC displayed the most beautiful lever I have ever seen and one of it's features was the double triggers. It was valued at $50,000 US at the time.
