Hey guys, couple rifles fell into my lap.1894 in 38-55 manufacture date 1906,and the 1885 is 25 rimfire manufacture date of 1908.both are original but beat up and used but function fine, even have a couple hundred rounds for the 25.thoughts.guesses..?..

These would be prices my area-others may well be higher.

Greetings-The model 94 in 38-55 if octagonal barrel around 550- plus or minus, the caliber is a plus. The low-wall a different thing -value in poor condition with no rifling about 3-350- with rifling and not badly beaten probably 500- and up, saw a good one recently go for 800-. The ammo is a plus 'cause if it's full original boxes they are worth between 75- and 100- each

Really need pics for anything more than a value range estimate. The 94 would fetch more than an 1885 in .25 Rimfire. Like Sainsbury mentioned ammo is hard to find and collectable in original boxes. The .38/55 is the most sought after chambering for the 1894 and octagon barrels bring more interest than round among average buyers. Collectors want condition and special order features. Yours sounds more like a shooter/hunter and would probably bring between $300 and $700 depending on condition, originality and configuration. Post some pics if you can.

Thanks for the info, the 94 has a round barrel so neither one are worth much, still very cool,I had my last high wall redone into a 45/70 and I've Read that I could reline the barrel to 17hmr but will have to out some prices first.thanks again for the help!!
