Hey guys, I traded my way into a nice Chiappa Rosebox 1887 a little while back. It’s a very slick little peashooter and a lot of fun at the range. It’s been dead reliable without any jams, FTEs or FTFs so far and is probably the easiest firearm to clean that I own.

Anyhow, it has four holes drilled and tapped on the barrel for what I assume is some sort of rail. It didn’t come with a rail and from what I can find online Chiappa doesn’t make a specific rail for the 1887.

I’ve been looking on and off for the, presumably out there, rail that fits this shotgun. Can anybody give me any pointers on this? Maybe the Chiappa 1886 Kodiak rail? The holes seem to be for 8-40 screws and when im home from work I’ll get a measurement on the hole spacings and update the thread.

For the record, I don’t plan on using any sort of optic with this, but if there’s a rail out there that fits this it would be nice to have, just to have. Thanks guys! :)
