1889 Swiss K31 receiver sight question.

I have just acquired a couple of 1889 Swiss K31 rifles (rechambered to 30-30) and I would like to put a receiver sight on one.
Any idea of what may work on these older guns?

Is it a Schmidt Ruben 1889 or is it a K31? They are similar but entirely different rifles.

You will have to change the front sight as well. I had one that I D&Ted then mounted a scope on. I was going to add a "peep" sight as well. There is a nifty little sight they make up for a 10/22 Ruger that might just work for your purpose. I don't remember where I saw it but it is just a flat strap that attaches to the top of the receiver with a "peep" sight insert.
