June 2011, lots of bugs.
Testing first loading and shooting in backwoods.
Model: 1891/30
Make: Mosin Nagant
Year: 1939
Ammo: USSR Surplus 1974 Silvertip

Comparing it to my M44 Carbine I have; this one has less kick and more suitable for hunting with softpoint ammo, hopefully this year.

Comments are open on posture, shooting technique and etc.
I recorded it so I could see my 'flinching' and posture.

it was 20 degrees but like hell i was going out in a shirt or without a top cover.

Posture seems fine; Mosin makes for a solid, hard-hitting hunting rifle, just a bit annoying to deal with if you want to go crawling through the scrub. Should look into some stripper clips as well; faster loading when it counts.

You also need better clothes for hunting with a Mosin.

oh I gotta find that in the mil surplus stores. I love those long coats and the boots...
