....

There's nothing wrong with not knowing something and asking about it. Not all shooters are blessed with divine knowledge.... some of us actually learned things along the way by asking questions.

Oh...that's what a flush cup is for. I never knew.

they are nice. Sling goes on and off fast. Great for PRS stuff as sometimes on feild matches in the US you can walk a good distance between stages but once there you wont want a sling snagging up on stuff on the props. You can buy a lot of slings with them on or just buy them and add them to an existing sling. I know we have them in the shop.

I have an idea to do the same thing to a Sako factory stock to stiffen the fore end.

If you wanted to stiffen a fore end, the rod, bar, beam, etc, would run parallel to the barrel. A groove, notch, etc, would be cut into the centre barrel channel, and the bar embedded into it with epoxy.

A good epoxy, deacon, or marine tex. I’ve heard of guys using s carbon fibre arrow shaft for weight, but I tend to use a piece of 1/4” key stock. Just have to mill out the plastic cross-pieces. You may also want to use some epoxy to glue the rod, etc. Into place, before filling with epoxy. Depending on what you use, it will sometimes float in the epoxy - ask me how I learned this. Do not fill with epoxy to a point where it will touch the barrel, unless you want to spend a bunch of time sanding it out to free-float the barrel.
