1892 Colt & CFC

I put this 1892 Colt up on the EE. I then realsied that CFC changed it from a 1892 Colt Neaw Army Navy Double action to a 1899 Colt Officer Target when I re-registered all my restricted and prohibs. In the picture you can clearly see Colt D.A. and the serial number is of the first year production, 625! I asked the firearm section of the RCMP yesterday to do a correction.

Hi Henry, the complete serial number is on the bottom like my picture of my 1892.
Also yours would be restricted because it is 38 Long Colt from what I can see of the calibre marking on the barrel. It would not be prohibited because the barrel is longer than 4”.

RCMP is now working on the problem. I have the registration from the 70s from the SQ as the firearm came from a deceased whose legacy was handled by Royal Trust. It was verified by the SQ! Strangely, 625 is on the frame near the crown as a Smith and on the cylinder release. There are some small numbers on the butt that I sent to the RCMP. Itis definetly not an Officer Target!
