Good day everyone. Just something im wondering about since the day i shattered my rear barrel band screw on my chiappa 1892 scorpio. Anyhow, i can't remember if my mag tube had a bit of wiggle room when i unboxed the gun. But it had a brittle screw that shattered first shot. Got a replacement from grech after a couple months wait... he told me not to heman tighten it, so i didn't. But i notice the mag tube has play within the wood forearm a good mm.. Is this normal. My marlin 1895gs doesn't have a loose mag tube.

Thank you. I never took my 1895 apart to that extent where I removed the mag tube so wasn't aware that it's threaded in. My 1892's mag tube seems to have more wiggle than id like however so I ended up using a few pieces of masking tape layered up on the bottom of the mag tub channel where the barrel band goes, seems much better. Not tight...but not loose either.
