Just wanted to show you other winchester collectors my new purchace/find today. pics don't do justice on this guns condition. barrel and magazine retain almost full blue, left side of reciever has good amount and the right side has traces with some brown and a bit of metal showing through. the upper tang has the mod 1892 just bellow the hammer insted of the usual spot. this is mentioned in the book of winchesters as being an exported gun to britan and its colonies. (fairly rair) the serial# is 47###x placing it around 1908-1909.
the gun has a great bore as well as wood that has lots of fininsh and is perfect fit to metal. great shape:). it also came with a full box of dominion ammo as well as a box of 20 winchester shot. how common is this shot ammo?
anyways here are the pics, sorry they arn'y to great. If anyone has anything to add or any great info please share.

thanks,
Justin

Very nice 92! 1892 Winchester & blueing left on the reciever are rarely used in the same sentence if you know what I mean;)

Nice box of shotshells, I have a few of each plastic end & cardboard end ones.

is it plastic in the ends? the old guy I bought this gun from said it was mica he thought? Also how common are these rifles in 44-40 with octagon barrel? the blue boo says to add 75%. I am not selling it but seeing that makes me wonder if they are a little more scarce.

Well actually there were probably more hex barrels than round but collectors would rather have the hex so that makes them more scare in what you see! I have a hex in 25-20 :)
