I have an 1895 25-35 winchester with a four digit serial number.Was wondering if there is still a market for old winchesters in canada,or do you have to go south of the border.Also does anyone have any information on this particular gun,or what they may be worth?

I also have a 25-35 rifle. great gun for deer. equal to the 25-06 apparently. Depending on condition, it may bring some big price. Some may pay more to add the caliber to their collection. I shoot and reload for mine so it is not idle for long.
the 4 digit number makes it made in 1895 or 1896 as that caliber was introduced in 1895 and was produced til 1932. You should contact the Cody Museum and get it lettered to show what it was when shipped out of the factory. This letter may double the asking price. the cost I believe is $50. and well worth it as i have 2 - 30-30 rifles lettered in my wee gathering. They both shoot like a hot d**n.
