The 3 that were off were 36gr and the better was 37gr of RE15.Too lazy and cheap to change target.I had my glasses I hate on for the open sights so I could actually see.Won't wear them with a scope........two lens twice as big a group...the 28" barrel wouldn't make a great truck gun.Like a ladder in a phone booth..Harold

I had tried stiffer loads with IMR 4895 and ended up with case separation with groups like a scattergun.Mind you cheap Scotsman using once fired range brass.Only happened with Federal, the Privi and Win held up just fine.I may play around with a little warmer loads and RE#15 .Likely won't be hunting with the 1895 this fall anyhow...me and full buckhorn sights don't mix.I'd like to replace it with a flat top Marble's......Harold

No I haven't yet but went for more locally available bullets.I was just seeing what it liked so the minor fine tuning could be done.I was thinking of re-barelling or a re-bore to .338x.303British if it wouldn't shoot. But it appears it will get left as is.I should pick up 100 new brass and use it only in this gun.As I try hotter loads the elevation should rise somewhat then I can tweak the windage.I always wanted one as they are a neat design from Browning.Need a butt stock as someone fixed a cracked stock by putting a copper bolt through and and riveting it.Trapper/farmer repair .....I read an Ken Waters article on the 30-40 Krag were a 95 outshot a Krag for groups on paper. The Russians liked them........Harold
