How about some tips on cleaning your 1895g's???? How far do you strip it down? The manual shows you how to remove the bolt but not any further. Do I need to get into the trigger or just leave it? What kind of lube should I use???
Any help would be appreciated.

Most guys dont go much further than running a jag through the bore... It all depends on your mechanical ability... Levers can be a Biatch to reassemble if your not mechanically savvy...
I dont take the whole rifle apart every time I clean it as its just too much work...
Depending on field use, I'd disassemble it once or twice a year to give it a once over "Spring cleaning" and maybe a "fall cleaning".

Actually Marlilns are easy to strip. One screw, remove the lever, pay attention to how a little keeper comes out of a slot on the bolt, and slide the bolt out. I find that a liberal dosing of G96 on all moving parts keeps everthing clean and slicker than snot on a glass door nob

edit to add: I only dissasemble once in a while, with a brush from the muzzle end a bore snake you can keep the bore clean for quite a while without stripping the rifle..
