Hey folks looking for some help to identify and value a 1899 Norwegian Krag carbine 6.5x55 that I have. I will email pics as I can't upload on here. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance Cheers Greg

In 1899. Generally speaking there is. 1. The Lang Krag. 2. The Carbines.
Good Bore condition and full length barrels and stocks are the biggest factors to values.

Thanks I found a great site info@kvf.no I sent them the serial number and proof markings and they sent me back the history of when and where it was made. The inspector, where it was issued and even what arsenal it was stored in when the German army seized control in 1940. Pretty cool.

I own a Krag Joergensen 1895 Mountain Carbine. 20 1/2 inch barrel, 2200M sights, rear swivel at T guard, top handguard, handguard ring and band w/ swivel. Almost done my restoration after many years.
You will probably have to contacted a Norwegian to complete yours. Parts are very hard to find.
I used to have a hundred spare parts, now only Extractors, rear sights, safety, mag assy, maybe a band somewhere too.And no spare wood.

The stock work was done by someone with some skill. The work is very clean and symmetrical not just a hack job. The overall stock condition is very good. The SN and the rear sight 2200m with "c" stamped on part of the horn or the sight match. . That says it's supposed to be a carbine. THis is not what the Norwegian records show. Peculiar hmmmm. The barrel is in decient shape with strong rifling. The over all metal condition is good with zero rust. Thanks everyone for your help.
