It's a Good Thing that Twosteam knows the Digital Camera Spell AND the Photobucket Spell; I am very nearly illiterate in those departments!
The photos (most of them) are of a puzzling little problem which showed up at the Great Wolverine Sale.
It is a Model 1906 FN 6,35mm 'pocket pistol'. The Serial Number identifies it as just after the first year of actual production (1905), so it is a late-1906 pistol.
The puzzling part is that it has a LANYARD STUD which appears to be original. This is something which I have never encountered previously. There appears to be nothing written on this variation and there is nothing on the various boards regarding it.
Can anyone supply any information?
The others are there for window-dressing, so to speak: 1913 Sauer, 1920 Sauer, 1910 FN. The early Sauer was used in the Great War, the FN 1910 is there because I had to have one: its older brother started the Great War.... in a side street in Sarajevo on June 28, 1914. This one is newer but it's the right model, anyway. Besides, I don't think the Vienna museum wants to sell theirs!
ANY help will be greatly appreciated.
