I've been looking at bayonet frogs for the pattern 1907 I recently picked up, there seem to be two styles on eBay. One with a loop as well as the belt loop at the top and one with just the belt loop, I gather one is for the no1 mk3 and the other is for the no4 mk1? Or is the top loop meant to slip over the pommel of the bayonet to keep it from catching or getting pulled out when in the bush?

Can someone post a pic of the correct frog for the 1907 bayonet, I'd like to know who's one is correct for the no1 mk3. I've searched the forum but didn't come up with anything.

I should mention its a Lithogw bayonet. I'm most likely looking for the webbed frog, although I've come across a leather frog for the Aussie 1907 on eBay as well.

-British/Australians/ Canadians in WW1 used the leaher P14 frogs and also the P08 webbing frog.

-Canadian WW2 frogs were made to be used with the P07 and the No.4 bayonet. The british had two different types of frogs for these two models of bayonets.
