Ok, just checked my reference books & now I know why the bottom metal on my 1909 is missing. What are the chances of finding a set? Or should I just install my spare verguiro stuff & call it a day? Its matching otherwise.

Please share ?.....

I have an 1891 Argie Mauser whose "jutting-out" magazine well seems to have been replaced with matching-number 1909-style bottom-metal.....:yingyang:

Argentine bottom metal does turn up from time to time... not cheap. Keep an eye on ebay, sometimes a seller will ship to Canada. Finding matching numbers to your rifle would be a lottery win.

Unlikely you will find one for anything you want to pay. There are FAR more rifles than bottom metal, and this is the single reason complete rifles are sky-high expensive now. MANY MANY were parted for that bottom metal. Last one I saw sell on e-bay was $250 for just the bottom metal without spring or follower!
