Before I start carving out these parts for myself I will make the pitiful plea for an upper band for a Ross 1910 Mk.III* rifle and a butt swivel as well. I took my newly acquired Ross apart to thoroughly clean it and found that the upper band on it is a home made set up. It had no holes in the side for the securing screw, it is 3/16th. of an inch longer that the original, the bayonet lug and piling swivel stud were welded on and then filed to shape. The band itself is made out of two curved pieces welded together and filed to shape. The front sight hood is too thin to be an original. So, I need a complete upper band, a front sight hood and a butt swivel. I have emailed Warren Wheatfield who gave me good prices on parts for my 1905 Ross but haven't heard from him. Numrich has a good supply of key Ross parts but not the upper band or the front sight hood ( first to go when bubba gets out his chainsaw! ) I know there is a secret hoard of Ross parts up there in Canada somewhere and this Yank would sure love to find them. I don't have anything to trade except custom leather work but I do have some cash somewheres. Hope to hear from someone soon. Don't I sound pitiful? Best Regards, Joe

If Klunk does'nt have what you need PM me your email address for a connection to a "possible" Manitoba source ( not me, I just have one complete, non-bubba'ed Mk III:) ).

Thanks all of you for your responses, what a pleasure! If I don't connect on some sources you will hear my anguished screams. Believe it or not I have made some pretty nice barrel bands from scratch as well as some swivels and such but it is tedious work. The end result is worth it but I still would just like to be able to find the part and trade or buy it. I have a rich fantasy life. Thanks again! Joe
