I just got my first USA made .45's and I would like to know what other mags will fit these guns. One gun is a STI and the other is a Kimber. Would like to use good mags.

Thanks.

Ben.

the advice i got was to try a few different ones...although I had no issues with my Wilson ETM's or Chip McCormick mags....the STI I just got came with an ACT mag. I got the 3 pk of Wilson mags from Brownells. I got the Chip mags from Arms East.

I really like Tripp Cobra mags. They run flawlessly in my STI and Sig 1911s. Do a search going back at least one year and you'll see that I'm not alone.

I picked up a couple of the ACT mags from Wolverine for my Spartan IV. After trying them out, I picked up 4 more. The worked great and seem pretty solid. At $18 hard to beat the price.

Dlask has some Really good .45 1911 Dlask marked mags for under 20$,No issues and really well built, they work great in my springfield and nork.

I've got mags from four different makers now and they all work fine in both my 1911's. The cheapest of the lot were from Dlask. They've never given me a mis-feed of any sort.

I've seen a few mags with the welded on base plates crack and come loose. Talking to a few others confirmed that this can happen after a lot of use where the mags are dropped to the ground or floor during action style shooting. So I've managed to avoid this by only buying mags with slip on bases.

CMC mags does it for me. I also have some Wilson 47D that are pretty good but I prefer the CMC Power Mags, they are also cheaper than the Wilson's

+1. These are the same as the Dlask mags, as well. I have 6 of them and they have run 1500+ rounds through a couple of guns with no problems of any sort. I don't dump them onto concrete, though, so the base plates may or may not be a weak point if you do much of that.
