Im pretty new to handguns, just got my first one home on friday. a Norinco 1911 commander. .45.

what are aftermarket barrels like ? are they very expensive and do they increase accuracy enough to invest?

I have not gotten to shoot my 1911 yet so i don't know how accurate it is. im sure its fine, but just wondering.

Invest in a;
COL-512 Full-Length Recoil Spring Guide w. Plug (Gov't)
COL-170 HI-SPEED RECOIL SPRING
COL-160 .45 Auto Muzzle Brake
(From Marstar)
Then send it to Armco to get Gunner to do your trigger work. And if you can't still shoot a 4" circle @ 25 meter's then the only help for you would be to attend a pistol shooting course!

whats the matter with the barrel that came with the gun? from what iv heard they shoot fine. save your money for quality mags and ammo.

guess u guys just answered my question if aftermarket barrels are worth it to improve accuracy. glad to know stock barrels are fine. thx !
