Hi guys and gals
I have a Colt manufactured 1911 for the Argentine military. It is likely one of the 10000 as it has a 2000 something, in script serial # . I believe it has been reblued as I do not think the grips could be worn that much and the blue be that good. Anyway it bites the web of may hand when I shoot it , so I am thinking of moving it out for something more useable. I am looking to get some idea of it's value. Is it collectable or is it just another old used 1911?

I sold one a few years ago for $500. The barrel was pooched as it was way too soft, lugs were peened badly from use. I did put a Nork barrel in it as a replacement before selling it....

Most of these pistols have seen heavy use and some of them were simply abused. They are pretty much on level with 1920's Hardford Colts in terms of quality of the materials...which means that some of them may experience breakages under heavy use after so many years of service. I would not pay more than $350 for one.
