1911 barrel in 45ACP - source in Canada

Howdy Folks,
my buddy from work looks for decent quality 5" .45 barrel for his 1911 build. Any idea where we can find one? Don't want to pay $400 or $500 though. I've seen quality barrels on Brownells for slightly over $150, but these are ITAR items...so no good for us here. Thanks in advance for your help!

I bought ROTO barrels from Sarco in both 9mm and 45acp. Worked well. needed slight fitting to be tight. $49 USD

Again not in Canada, but Fusion Firearms ships to Canada, they are making a new barrel for my AMT Hardballer LS as we speak.

March 2014 I ordered an Ed Brown "drop in" 1911 5" barrel from Brownell's - no problem. I had to apply for an import permit - did this electronically no cost took less than a week. Now that I'm on file it will be much quicker. Slowest part was that I had to print the permit out and "snail mail" it to Brownells. There was a fee for them to process it but it wasn't much. All told I had the barrel (includes all fees plus shipping) for around $180 US. Process is not that complicated.

I was actually advised by Brownells that with the proper paperwork the barrels may be ordered from their website (just like mentioned above). Thanks everyone.
