What models of CCO you guys have seen in Canada? In case some of you don't know, CCO is Commander size slide with Officer size frame, so it's easier to carry but still have a 4.25" barrel.

Some manufacturers make CCO with 4" barrel, so these have to be mated with an ugly 4.18"ish sticking out barrel to be imported here. Those are too ugly for my taste...

With some googling I found Dan Wesson and Ed Brown are making the real CCO(with 4.25" barrels), but it seems no dealer in Canada have them?

I'd prefer some more budget-friendly( At least less than $2000, couldn't ask too much with tanking CAD these days) brands, but it seems they're not making these? The closest thing is Ruger SR1911 Commander, but it's not a CCO.

please chime in if you know some dealers or brands I'm not aware of.

And stay safe and healthy guys. :)

IRUNGUNS has the Dan Wesson vigil CCO in 9mm and .45acp. Just order from them and they will import for you.
Colt still makes them, IRUNGUNS has the Wiley Clapp CCO in .45 ACP.
Sig used to make a version of it.

Consider yourself lucky that DW makes them in 9mm and .45 and IRUNGUNS has them in stock in their US store. All three of my CCO's had to be custom made by US gunsmiths and then imported in at a much higher cost than the DW.

You have excellent taste. The CCO is my favorite size of 1911. Mine are all steel frame so the DW aluminum CCO in 9mm is still very tempting.

thank you for your contribution and knowledge! The DW vigil is very tempting...

yes very lucky Irunguns carry them, I know the pain of custom import lol. I had them imported a Stainless HK USP compact 40sw with custom barrel last year, if the cost is not bad enough, the wait is. lol

Irunguns is a good company but still the trouble to import a custom gun is overwhelming unless you're truly an enthusiast.

If IRG has the gun in stock, it's only a small shipping fee, not the $200 for third party import.

If the DW vigil CCO was available 15 years ago, I wouldn't have bothered going custom.

CCO, or concealed carry option is not available in Kanada.
The Liberals &NDP'ers ensured that Kanadians have no property rights, no castle doctrine, & no stand your ground rights.

British Parlimentary democracy that Kanada adopted is diametrically opposite of the god given right to self defence that our American friends fought a revolutionary war to enshrine. Their 2nd ammendment takes priority.

When the Trudope Liberals invoke the War Measures act because their response to the Wuhan virus is a colossal failure, and seek to quash our constitutional rights, the sheeple will obey. But some won't......

I love my Sig RCS
Quite reliable, small, thin and light.
My only issue with it is that the squared off slide doesn’t fit all commander holsters well.

Great to see the Canadian school system was failing well before commonly thought. The War Measures Act was repealed in 1988. History, civics, and law all bungled at once. You must be associated with Wexit.....

While I’ve always preferred Commander’s to CCO’s, you can’t go wrong with a Dan Wesson.

OP was talking about the CCO, or Concealed Carry Officer, model of 1911. It’s a Commander-length slide in an Office frame, like my Dan Wesson.

Wow, that's too good looking to be true... Congrats!

Did DW discountine the CCO model? so they are making the new vigils? or they are actually two different models? because they look the same to me.

Yes, the Dan Wesson CCO has been discontinued. Regarding the SAM models, Wolverine mentioned here that they need Officer’s mags for a flush fit so it sounds like they’re a CCO model.
