The base model Dlask 1911 goes for a little more than your budget at $1250. Otherwise, you could probably have a Norinco built to your specs within your budget.
I wouldn't get too bent out of shape over loose slide to frame fit, as it has little effect on accuracy. Barrel to slide and bushing fit are far more important. Also, keep in mind that tight slide to frame fit will make the gun more sensitive to fouling buildup.
You can get exactly what you want by having Dlask build it for you, and while it's on the high side of your bracket, it is a properly fitted gun built to your specs. ( personally I'd get 3 Armco'd Norcs - but that's just me)
