1911 Compensator

As madness said, any kind of bolt on or bushing comp will be pretty much ineffective, you'll want to get a barrel and comp kit. There are lots in the market, Freedom Ventures or Double Tap sports can get you an STI try bore kit or I'm sure order in something to your liking. I use Millenium custom comps and get them from Josko at Double Tap and then you just need a barrel. Check brownells, or shooters connection and see if there's anything you like.

I just think they look cool, want to get one for mine to.

Something like this:

I could never feel the difference in less muzzle flip and recoil in a compensated 1911 in .45 ACP compared to a non compensated 1911

I thought compensators were a thing of the past? or just for cool looks in the Punisher movie

also, I think 9mm is so tame to shoot especially in an all steel 1911 that a compensator is not needed

not a thing of the past, you just need to build up enough pressure to make them work, factory ammo just doesn't cut it.

You need to try one loaded to major with and with out a comp. Basically it makes it equivalent to a .357 mag but holds more rounds and shoots much faster with a comp. Or try loading one with really light bullets (88/90gr) and slow powder, feels like a .22.
