Has any one had to remove and then install a worn out firing pin bushing on their 45 1911 A1 slide? Is it possible to drill it out and replace it then secure by silver sauder or peening? Your knowledge and experienced input would be appreciated. Thanks g2.

I'm not aware of a firing pin "bushing" on a 1911.
If you are refering to the firing pin "stop" at the rear of the slide, oversize stops are available.
Perhaps one of the 1911 guru's will chime in with a better answer.

The firing pin bush is the portion of the breech face that the firing pin protrudes through. When the hole becomes oversized, you can have it bushed. Any decent pistol smith should be capable of replacing it for you, but it may entail machining to remove. Unlike the Browning HP, I believe the 1911 bush is integral to the breech face and not readily replaceable.....
