Hey CGN'rs, Ive got a norc 1911 with a grip safety that doesnt seem to be under tension; ie, its loose and if the gun is pointed down the grip safety fails and the trigger can be pulled. Now, i can pull it apart and recheck the assembly but im thinking that the three pronged spring (part name is escaping me at the moment) could be adjusted alittle bit to keep the safety sprung back until depressed by the hand like it should be. If so, which prong is it that you would tweek?

Also, norc haters need not mouth-breath your way into this thread, i have a Ruger SR1911 on the way haha, thanks.

That 3 pronged spring would be the sear spring. The 3rd arm (furthest right with the muzzle facing away from you) is associated with the grip safety. You can bend it gently to add more tension to the grip safety. You may have to do this to your SR1911 when it arrives to stop the grip safety from rattling.
