1911 grips

Will any grip fit any 1911? Are they brand specific?

Looking and found some extra super cool grips for my 1911 R1S, but there is no brand specification. Im putting my $$$$ on they are all interchangable but just playing it safe.

Any one will fit, the only difference is the size, full size or compact and the other is whether it has an ambi-safety cutout or not.

Magwell or not and you also have thin grips if you prefer! While you're at it you might want to change/order new screws!

Aside from all the different styles of grips, I think the OP was thinking more in the line of the placement of the screw holes. That's what I thought anyways.

Nope, that's another variation. Straight goes right to a magwell, beveled are the more common "typical" grips.

Any full size grip will fit on any full size 1911...even on any 1911 knive!
