1911 gsg .22lg

I looked at this and the Umarex "Colt" 1911s for a cheaper. 22 to shoot and introduce people to the sport with. The only bad thing I could find about the GSG is the finish on the slide is not very robust. Very nice gun otherwise. The Gold Cup Colt that I bought is a bit more expensive, but I've never had any issues with the finish wearing.

Yeah have one with probably over 25k rounds through it,its my most shot pistol I love it from factory I hate this sights so I hit up dlask for a set of theirs other then that it's a great gun. I personally don't think the "colt" is worth more and would much rather spend the difference in ammo,I don't care if the finish wears on mine.

Completely agree with this....I'm on my second...sold the first after several thousand rounds, thought I was done, realized I wasn't and bought another....I to went with the dlask adjustable sights, polished the feed ramp, and am now 7-8000 rounds through this one....my fave .22 pistol by far...loves fed bulk ammo...I like the size, weight is light but still solid, everyone I've started shooting with this pistol loves it too...

Anyone have any experience with this handgun. Fired sons Glock 9mm. Don't care for it.

Comparing a Glock 9mm with a GSG seems rather odd?

For 22 autos, I have owned GSG, M&P22, and a Browning Buckmark. Kept the GSG, the other two are gone.

Mine is sensitive to cheap ammo but I haven't cleaned it in ages. Thousands of rounds through it but lots of malfunctions lately with cheap 500 pack ammo. I have a Ruger Mark III and I think it is a superior gun.

I do agree with the ammo.
it can be picky with different ammo..
should also look at the spring and guide rod upgrade from zrts.
at first my gsg didn't like the winchester white box bulk amma last year nor did my 10/22 but this year its not bad. only a couple of jams. but I still only have slightly less then 1000 rounds down range.
canada ammo has best price for mags too. as of todays date that is
Glenn.

I just bought a sig 1911-22 which I believe is made by gsg, or at least that's what I've been told, I've got about 500 rounds through it and I love it. I got it as a second pistol for cheaper ammo than 9mm and to have a second one to take people to the range. Only had a couple fte but I was using win white box bulk stuff with decent ammo it's great.maybe it's because it's stil new but i went to the range last night and found myself shooting it more than my 9m lol

Is Blueline still the distributor for GSG? I know their storefront is gone, but their website is still up and their mailing address is a PO box downtown.

I've got a worn slide stop and I remember a while ago, people were sending theirs in and had them replaced free of charge?
