We just got another shipment of our 1911 Gunsmith kits. This batch are all in Stainless Steel and are all .45 caliber.

What it includes :

1- Forged slide with Novak type sight cuts finished, front and rear serrations

1- Match grade barrel,

1- Forged 80% completed 1911 frame with checkered front strap.

Kits are available in .45 caliber in your choice of Government length (5”) or Commander length (4.25”) However, ALL kits come with a Government length frame, if you order the Commander the dust cover on the frame will need to be trimmed slightly. We also had the slide serrations added to this batch which is a nice cosmetic touch.

Seriously, though, would this be within the realm of a decent home garage, or is CNC equipment required?

Just back in stock. Commander length only in stainless steel. There are a few frame only and the rest are in kits either with or without a barrel.

We do have full parts kits. Depending on options like ambi safety, SS vs. blued etc. the prices will vary. The kits start at $625 and go up from there. The parts are excellent quality and are all sourced from the US of A and are the same ones we use when building our custom 1911 pistols.
