I've owned 3 different Dan Wesson 1911s and they have all been amazing guns (still own a stainless Valor). The CCO is actually a pretty cool little gun. It is a Commander lenght slide on top of a Officer sized frame. So the grip is a bit shorter and one round less capacity than a "normal" Commander or Government size 1911. Designed to be a perfect CCW 1911. Roughly similar in size to a Glock 19. The CCO is also an aluminum alloy frame so it is lighter weight and subsequently a little harder recoiling than an all-steel commander.
I'd be grabbing that one that is on sale right now if I wasn't already committed to buying a new DW Valkyrie if and when one comes to Canada.
I have an SS Valor coming on friday. It is my first pistol i purchased. All the research and reviews i read said it was one of the best bang for your buck pistols even comparable to some more expensive 1911's. I guess i can update this post in a few days....lol. No one that I talked too said to not buy one.......
Everyone ahead of me completely missed a great chance to post a chorus of "NOOOOOOOOOOOOO" and give this guy a heart attack. For shame.
Yes, that would have been hilarious........I have questioned myself a couple times on this purchase since I have been waiting for it since November. It is the most expensive firearm i have purchased sight unseen. I would have shat my pants if everyone started saying NOOOOOO!...lol.
Dan Wesson or S&W performance center?
Or Both?![]()
