1911: How do you stop a Full Length Guide Rod from unscrewing?

Question: I recently purchased a Springfield 1911 "Fully Loaded"s/s. It has a Full Length Guide Rod. Every time, after app 100 rounds, the Guide Rod unscrews itself while shooting. How can I prevent that? Should I use Lock-Tite? Not the permanent one of course but the one that permits you to unscrew it with a little bit of effort.

Any suggestions?

I would only use the tiniest of droplet of blue locktie though...Maybe the size of a pinhead, and far away from the free end of the threads

Do not worry about it.
Same happen to me with my Springfield F loaded.
Have allen key handy and just screw it back or change to one piece guide rod

Hmmm, are you tightening it up well when re-installing it? My back sight always loosened off, but I never had the guide rod come loose in 1000-1500 rounds. Bit of blue loctite will do the trick, just a bit, and definitly NOT the red or green!!

Well I've never had that problem with any of my 1911's but a bit of blue locktite will sure solve the problem but it should not be happening to start with. I think I would change rods to see if that cured the problem.
