Ok...I'm sure I'm not the first to ask, but am looking for some help.

I just got my first pistol....a Norinco 45A1 gov. I got it on sale and thought it was a great price to introduce myself into the world of pistols. The only issue I am having is as I load the mag the bullets start angling less and less with each round. With a mag with more than 3 rounds, it will jam the round on the feed path.
So is there a way to adjust the mag to fix this, or am I better off buying some aftermarket mags?

Thanks in advance for your advice!

Aftermarket magazines with "anti-tilt" followers are ace, Wilson Combat 47D's are kick ass for 7-8 round magazines.

I run Chip McCormick, Wilson Combat & Tripp Research magazines in my 1911's with excellent results.

I also use the factory norinco magazines with 100% reliability but the flat magazine base does not work well with my flared magazine wells.

Since the mags don't work, try adjusting the feed lips a little bit at a time. If that doesn't work get some new ones. Too bad the $CAD is so low, Brownell's is the goto place for Wilson Combat 47D's. I've had good luck with Colt factory 7 and 8 rd mags.

I have had this exact issue with my hand built custom 1911. It is a magazine issue pure and simple. Find a magazine that works with your gun. Also use round nose projectiles in 230 grain to start with anyway. Make sure the gun is well cleaned and lubed.
