1911 Mag Release on right side?

Is it possible to move the mag release on my 1911 to the right side? After looking at how its machined it seems like it would be a problem.

If its a matter of after market parts, is there someone in Canada that could supply whatever is needed?

Smith and Alexander make a ambi 1911 magazine release.Its pretty pricey(US$ 99),you can get it through Brownells.

Most of the lefties that i have seen,manage the mag release pretty well using their trigger finger to release the mag.

There are many ambi safeties available for the 1911. Just about all the "Custom" parts makers offer one.
