1911 mag well question

Hey people, so I have a Dominion arms two tone 1911 on its way to me and I'm curious about aftermarket magwells

I have the 2 factory mags and 4 dlask mags on the way. Are the dlask mags only compatible with their own magwell?

While I'm here other than a buff/polish job what should I look to do right off the bat outside of just shooting this inexpensive pistol?

All 1911 mags will work with all after market mag wells. The fitment of the magwell itself, to the gun, may be an issue, esp. on a Norc gun. You may need some filing and buffing to ensure a flush, snag free fit.

As for question 2, do a complete field strip to remove any packaging gunk, swab out the barrel, cycle the gun, try the trigger and safety for function (with no live ammo!), lube it with G96 then go blast some rounds!

Oh yeah, watch out for the idiot scratch!

I put a smith & Alexander one piece main spring / mag well on a norinco 1911 for a buddy and it fit perfectly fine.

Make sure you have mag bumpers/extentions for propper seating of the mags

OK thanks for the advice. The dlask mags have a fairly large polymer or rubber looking baseplate /bumper. I'm looking forward to smacking some steel with this pistol. Then look at spending money on the fun bits
