1911 mags

looking at magazines online, is there a brand of magazines for the 1911 45 acp that i should stay away from?

Buying mags that are the same brand as the gun usually works out.. I like Chip McCormick mags though

I've only had Wilson's and colt marked ones. All good, except one colt one that I got used has an unusual looking follower that doesn't always hit the slide stop.

Wilson, Tripp, ACT, Metalform, Mecgar all worked well for me....

Wilson & Tripp Research, cost a bit more but you have amazing reliability with them.

Wilson and Mecgar work well for me. The two Sringfield Armory that came with my pistol have given me a few failure to feed here and there, enough that I've never used them in competition.
