Where can you get a good 1911 magwell in Canada?

I ideally would like Smith and Alexander. I tried ordering directly through them or through Brownells but neither worked. If I cannot get S&A then something similar that replaces the main spring housing. It also needs to be stainless.

Can someone recommend a good quality magwell available in Canada?
Thanks.

Try Fusion firearms, 1911 is pretty much all they do, and they ship here. I did see someone buy a magwell from Epp's a year or so ago. Give them acall, most of their stuff is NOT on their website. Barring that, try Casey at TacOrd, he does a lot of 1911 stuff

What do you particularly need it for? Competition (ie IPSC has certain restrictions on Classic division dimensions), range/general/aesthetics use, duty use? These will have a bearing on the model/style, and thus the supply chain would be better defined. Marstar had some, and I have a few STI's lying around.....but I use Techwell for IPSC use that can be ordered from Murray Gardner in BC.

Okay, I run an SVI on one of my pistols, but my custom build is a Techwell (XT model I think). I then ordered a plain smooth gripped Alumigrip with the Techwell cutout option (the grips are what anchors the magwell) and wrapped and inner sanded some coarse grip tape on them. BEST solution (after filing the frame to match the inner angle of the magwell).

Techwell works with any mainspring housing so you can use that with your mainspring housing of choice. Xt is the ipsc legal one. Also its not hard to do the cutout on whatever grips you want if you dont like the techwell options. (Personally i love my vz recons)

Picked mine up from Evolution Guns Works for $50 + shipping. Not cheap but full 2 piece stainless and the quality is great.
