1911 muzzleloader

1911 45 caliber muzzleloader made by R.G. Foster of Chatham Ontario. Put on a Essex Arms Corp frame.
I am looking for information on who made it. Probably long out of business but I have been toying with the idea of having other barrels and calibers. I have no idea when it was made. The barrel is a heavy ML barrel the same thickness as a rifle barrel. Adjustable rear site. Extremely nice trigger pull.
Anyone have any information on the person that built my own1911.
Single shot ML registered as a semi auto due to the 1911 frame.

I don’t have more details on that specific people, but I suspect the pistol was intended for use at ML matches in Friendship Indiana (National muzzleloading rifle association). I have a few friends who shoot there and can reach out to them if you like ( May need more photos).

Lastly, I’ve heard of 1911 frames being used for modern ML pistol in addition to S&W 41 and Ruger Mk1 frames.

Beautiful piece, thank you for sharing and I’m mildly jealous.

When I bought it I was told it was used in the Friendship Indiana matches. Also it was bought at that event and brought back to Canada. Any help would be appreciated. More pictures I can send. I have had it for awhile and can’t really find anything about it. There is the initials HB scratched on the mag release, was told the fellow that brought it across the border did it.
