Hey GunNutz, very new to this forum and also very new to 1911's
Been around rifles for a while so I'm not totally in the dark when it comes to how firearms work.
This may be a rookie question bit I just bought a sear spring for my Para GI expert (80 series) and it does not fit at all. My question is, do the 70 and 80 series use different sear springs respectively?
I ask because I didnt get a package with my spring and I never did specify with the clerk

Series 70 and series 80 sear springs are universal. Only different ones are the 4 prong ones

Hmm very odd....
I wonder if its a Para Ordnance variation, because the new spring drops right into my Norc 70 series
In the Para the thumb safety will not seat or actuate and the seat wont engage the hammer
