1911 safety issue

I just picked up a new to me colt 1911 Gold Cup .45 that has had a Swenson ambidextrous safety installed. can someone advise on the correct method for removing the safety? it has been many years since I have worked on one of these and it just isn't coming to mind. Any assistance would be appreciated.

take the slide off

remove right side grip

remove right side thumb safety

with the hammer cocked, move the safety to the position between "on" safe and "off" safe

since this is an ambi safety you can't push on the end of the pin so you'll have to wiggle it out in that "in between" position of on and off

it might be tight.....don't force it. it'll come out

Thanks for the reply--I got it figured out--was just really tight and took a bit of jiggling. I wasn't sure if it might have been one of the pinned type.
