I have a Kimber Stainless Target II in .10mm that I screwed up. My friend told me that the back strap was plastic and that should replace with a metal one. So to confirm I removed it (without doing the elastic thing on the grip safety bottom) and tried putting it back together. Now the trigger is jammed and won't move. So what do I do next? Is this something I can fix or do I need to bring it to a gunsmith? I can't seem to find a youtube video for this particular issue. Any ideas?

It’s just not assembled right. Mostly the grip safety spring.
Nothing wrong with the plastic backstrap and no need to replace it for function. Thats not a wear piece.
I doupt you damaged anything…do not worry.

Thanks, I didn't want to screw anything up. So i just needed to know how serious it was. So disassembling and reassembling the grip safety is the way to go...perfect! ok, I guess its a cool movie, beer and re-assembly kind off night! Thanks.
