I tried Dlask but they couldn't get it. I asked Samuel but he can't get the SS ones.
I also tried Wanstalls for two weeks and nothing yet. They are checking if their paperwork allows slides to be shipped by themselves. This would be Fusion.
Brownells is interesting but I thought they could only ship parts that were under $100. What is an End User Form? Can you explain this more or point me to a link so I can read up on it.
thanks for the help.
This is direct from Brownells International Department:
Thank you for your interest in Brownells. As of July 8th, 2013, our Dept. of State did recognize the ITAR, International Traffic in Arms Regulations, exemption raise in dollar values of $100.00 to $500.00 for gun component parts only.
Regulated items still require an export license, regardless of their value or quantity.
Under the new exemption, our Dept. of State requires an end-user statement to be kept on file for the specific order the exemption is being utilized for.
Please complete the attached end-user statement and return to us as soon as possible, so your order can be released for shipment. You will need to print out the form, fill it out and sign/date it and return to us as a PDF.
We do appreciate your co-operation and thank you,
The End User agreement is a one page form Brownells send you once you make your order - basically it tells the US Government the parts you are buying are for your own use and you don't work for the Government nor will you be selling them to someone else.
You have to be aware some parts are ITAR regulated and require an export license (which is 250 bucks) -
Regulated items must have an export license regardless of their value or quantities. Regulated items are: barrels, barrel liners, actions, receivers, frames, cylinders, flash hiders/suppressors. Also brass/bullets.
I would contact Brownells to find out of a slide falls under 'regulated' items. In my opinion they are exempt but best to check with them directly. Their customer service is excellent. Email the International Sales at
international@brownells.com Ask them to email you a copy of the form when you ask about the slide being exempt or regulated.
I recently bought about 350 dollars worth of 1911 spare/custom parts from Brownells and it was a seamless transaction. This was things like springs, extended safeties, hammers, beavertail, etc etc
edited - and whatever you do, do not select UPS for shipping. USPS Parcel Post Priority only so you don't get raped by UPS 'fees'.
