1911 Thin Grips... What did you get, and where'd ya get em?

Bought some VZ G10 Aliens, they have a ''super scoop'' option that can be cut into any of their products (very comfortable, much nicer hold for a 1911 IMO), and they also have a spefic ''slim'' option aswell. Close to $200 for a set for 1911. Not exactly cheap but they are really nice.

Wa wa wee wa!! These I've got to see!

I love the feel of the slim grips. Here's a set of alumagrips on the guncrafter as well as ahrends on the Valtro.

I am interested in changing out the grips on my Spartan, The stock wood ones are unnecessarily obese!

Brownells lists the thickness in their descriptions, so, if thinness matters, that might help you decide.

They don't carry my preference, however; you can order that directly from the manufacturer.

I like the thin Hogue grips. Reasonably good grip and traditional look. Don't forget the thin bushings and screws.

Appreciate the help... I have purchased another CZ and a set aluminum grips from Dlask... So I'm just going to enjoy the regular 1911 grip as is... It's really not that bad, it's just a little thinner is better for mag changes I find.

Cheers
