I was just looking at the para ordnance site, and I really like the S16.40 Limited. It is a beautiful pistol. 16+1 capacity etc.

Anyways, does anyone own one these beauties? What do you think of it?

Yep, I've got a P16-40 LTD, black. Love it bigtime. I was a previous Glock17 owner and love the para. It's an adjustment though. Just different. But it is very accurate.
enjoy.

I am more partial to single stack 40s myself (Kimber and STI) - the Para's grips just don't fit me that well. STI double stacks on the other hand..... :D

I had a stainless P16-40 LTD and thought it was a great gun. I think the .40 round is excellent -- good ballistics and available everywhere. The Para was extremely accurate and easy to shoot. The only reason it is gone is to help pay for a premium single stack 1911 in .45. I just didn't like the double stack grip on the Para...it didn't feel right when compared to a single stack. And why bother with a double stack when you can only load 10 + 1 anyway?

....one of the main reasons I love the single stack - there really isnt a disadvantage in Canada for using one. That said, I think you would see quite a few less single stacks if mag laws would ever change....especially with STI double stack grips being so close in size to single stack frames :D

#1 reason: Double stack mags are soooo much easier to reload.

And check in the Action Shooting Sports sections for opinions on the STI double stack 40s; the Edge and Eagle.

I own an STI Trojan in .40.
I really like this pistol.
It has no issues.
It is accurate.
It is well put together.
The internals are quality parts.
I had the ejector polished up and put in a 12.5 lb. ISMI spring as opposed to the factory 14 lb. spring.
It came with a 3.5 lb. trigger which I had lightened to 2.5 lbs.
I like the sights on it.Adjustable and easy to pick up for my older eyes.
I believe Freedom Ventures has them listed now for $1200.
They're worth that and more.
I've held a Para, but the double stack is a little too wide for me.
I like a single stack pistol.
If you shoot with the supplied mag(mine came with a MecGar) you can shoot factory length ammo,as the mag has a spacer in it.
If you use 10mm mags, such as Metalform, you will have to lengthen the AOL to get reliable feeding.
I would not hesitate to recommend this pistol.
