I bought one a while ago from Tradex... What a spectacular rifle. I plan to hunt with it this year.. I want a photo of it not quite reaching across a set of moose horns...I chronied some 175 grain moly coated bullets and they were going 2660 fps.. You really do get an extra 200 fps out of the longer barrel. Even though the sights are not the best for hunting, it is a treat to shoot offhand, for hunting that is my real test. My load was:
48.7 grains of CF7900, a case full
Swedish Brass from Higginson
Remington Magnum Primers
3.060" OAL ( this seats the bullet with the cannalure exposed.)
I bought the 175 grain Mag Tip bullets about 15 years ago, and the powder about 10 years ago, I have another 7x57, and the brass about 5 years ago, and the primers about ten years ago, so I was loading with the stuff from my cupboards, which is good too..

I have one of these as well, but haven't shot it yet. Beautifully made rifles.

What kind of accuracy are you getting? Hunting moose with it sounds like a fun challenge. Good luck!

I assume yours is in .308?

I prefer the Model 1912's in 7mm.
